Movies I Can't Wait to Watch #1
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. (trailer availabe on the site)
I have no idea when it will be coming to the Philippines or in Germany, but I do hope to watch it as soon as possible. I remember watching the animated movie when I was very young, but could remember very little of it.
The movie is based on the book The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, which is the second book in a series of seven books by legendary fantasy writer C.S. Lewis. The seven books are collectively called The Chronicles of Narnia
I go so excited for the movie that I ordered the The Chronicles of Narnia from Amazon and finished it almost within a week of receiving it. (book cover image below)
I loved the writing of C.S. Lewis. The writing is very simple yet it creates such rich imagery. (The plots of the books itself was a bit plain for me, but it was still fun to read)
A lot of people don't like to watch the movie or read the book because they say its Christian propaganda. True, the movie and the books are supported by the conservative Christian groups. The books are in fact filled with many biblical references, metaphors and allusions. Some of these "links" are not very subtle at all.
However I don't think this should be looked at as a negtive point. I really believe it is very good fantasy writing, with or without the biblical references.

I'd like to see this movie as well, though I'm more itching to see Harry Potter (which I haven't seen yet at this point! grrrr) and Memoirs of a Geisha.

I saw the advertisements of Narnia some times ago at the haltestelle. I guess, you went shortly to the cinema after you got those advs :).
Just like other normal-female-interests, I prefer to see Geisha than this movie. Oppss!

Hello brother dear. When I first read the narnia books I did notice biblical references but i agree that it goes beyond that. I personally enjoyed the magic and adventure of seeing the movie in film. Thrilling :)
